Peschar's ChardonnayThe Wine The Peschar family vineyard is nestled in the foothills of the Wollombi Ranges in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales and is ideally situated for the growing of premium quality fruit. The Hunter Valley was the first wine region of Australia and we are proud to produce a wine which continues this heritage and tradition. Great wines are made in the vineyard and we have spared no expense in vineyard management and practice to ensure our winemakers have the best grapes to work with. After drinking this wine we trust you will agree that the effort has been worth while. Tasting NotesMedium yellow in colour with green hues. Elegant citrus and melon aromas overlay toasty oak in the glass. Soft, generous Chardonnay fruit floods the palate, with the wine's richness and depth being nicely balanced by minerally acid on a long finish. Serving SuggestionsThe full flavour and clean crisp acid of the Chardonnay combine well with a warm salad or scallops and potato with rocket salad. The soft texture of lightly cooked scallops and the spicy flavours of rocket complement the wine. Try also with grilled prawns or creamy pasta dishes. This wine is ideal for immediate drinking, however, short term cellaring will add complexity to the wine. |
